Hand Carved Dandelion Measuring Spoon

Carved by hand from a single block of wood. First using an axe and then small knives to whittle the shape and finer details. The handle is created by tracing the leaf of a dandelion from a plant outside my home.

Dandelions appear in spring and are seen as a symbol of resilience, hope, manifestations and dreams. A hardy plant that has the tenacity and durability to flourish where many other plants do not dare to grow. Often seen as a weed to be destroyed, the dandelion is actually quite remarkable in its determination to live! There is much we can learn from Dandelion, who in mid spring can be seen making the best out of less than perfect growing conditions, thriving through cracked walkways and gritty soils with its sunshine like blooms.

The spoon has been stained with coffee and sealed with organic vegan friendly food safe oil.

This Dandelion spoon measures 2 tablespoons in each scoop.
